All about me.
While I pride myself on my disciplined professional abilities, I am not afraid to let my background, personality, and creative skills shine.
I am a proud Mexican-American.
As a born and raised Mexican-American in Brownsville, Texas, I learned the importance of community and heritage. In this small border town on the tip of Texas, I thrived in a community of tradition, rich culture, and unconditional support. Corridos, quinceañeras, Charro Days, and many other customs have tied the people of Brownsville together. I will forever have this town's best interest at heart.
My family members taught me what hard work means. Punctuality, integrity, and humbleness were valuable lessons from my loved ones. My grandparents raised my father and aunt as migrant farmers, traveling hundreds of miles for an honest day's work, picking vegetables in the sun. My family has been a staple of Cameron County, Texas, since they settled; my welo retired as a public works foreman in 2019, and my dad has been a law enforcement officer for the county since he was 18 years old. He began at the Sheriff's Office as a jailer, and rose to Chief Deputy in 2020. My mom has worked with the Cameron County Justice of the Peace since 2014. My privilege to learn, work, and purse the legal field was made possible by their unconditional support and encouragement. I would not be where I am today without them.
